GNA - Sekondi Eleven Wise played an improved game to hold Accra Great Olympics to a 1-1 draw pulsating match in their Glo Premier League encounter at the El Wak sports stadium on Sunday. The two relegation threatened clubs displayed their determination to out do each as they decided to play it had just as referee Yaw Ametepe signalled for the commencement of proceedings. The Wonder Club continued to ply on the pressure on the visitors but poor finishing up front denied them from increasing their goal tally with gallant defending by the Wise back line to end the first half in favour of Olympics. When the game resumed for the second half, it was still Olympics who were on top of proceeding and were awarded a doubtful penalty in the 48th minute amid protest from the Wise players but captain of the side Bilal Mohammed kick was saved by keeper Ofori. As the tension kept on mounting with officials rushing to the touch line, the referee had to call for the removal of a member of the technical bench of Wise from the playing field and just after a long ball from the right flank was floated into the Olympics goal area for Richmond Adongo to send the ball to the blind of the keeper into the posts but the effort was disallowed by the assistant referee and this held on play for a brief moment. The defence of Olympics failed to hold their rear tightly and allowed the Wise strikers to outrun them on a number of occasions and when the game was coasting to an end, Olympics keeper Mensah was shown the yellow card for time wasting. The determined Wise team continued to probe for the equaliser and it rightly came their way in injury time with a minute to go when Abdul Bashiru out jumped his markers for the much needed equaliser that sent the stadium into dead silence with the few Wise supporters and officials in a joyous mood,
